"VICTIMS OF CIRCUMSTANCE!"

3SC, have fired their coaches two days after being relegated from the Glo Premier League in the just-concluded season. The club's head coach, Hakeem Busari and his assistants, Babatunde Odubola and Adi Haruna, were on Tuesday officially shown the exit door.

Odubola confirmed in a recent interview that the management of the Ibadan had terminated their contracts.
"Our job is all about hiring and firing, so as a coach it is something one should expect. Yes we have been sacked and I have received my letter to that effect," said Odubola, who assisted Busari, in the run-up to 3SC's relegation to the Nigeria National League (NNL).

But Odubola claimed that himself and his colleagues are "victims of circumstance."

"We did a very good job in the course of the season but unfortunately the club went down. It wasn't our plan to see the club get relegated but this happens in football. But I must say that we are just victims of circumstance. I wish the club the best," said Odubola said.

Odubola alongside Busari was joint interim head coach of the team.

Busari was later confirmed head coach during the season but could only steer 3SC to a bottom-place finish on 46 points.
