It is most likely head coach Manu Garba will be moved up to handle the Flying Eagles, while his assistants Nduka Ugbade and Emmanuel Amuneke take charge of the new class of Golden Eaglets.
NFF chairman technical and development committee, Chris Green, said: "We have plans to graduate these Golden Eaglets to the Flying Eagles.
"The coaching crew shall be split, some remain in the U17 and others in the U20. And this is because we want the teams to maintain a playing pattern which is attacking football."
Green added: "And these players would graduate to the U23s and maybe Super Eagles, while other players coming from the ranks would have learnt the playing culture of the country."
